Some good news...an abstract for The Story Economy was accepted for a conference in Prato, Italy deftly titled 5th Prato Community Informatics & Development Informatics Conference 2008: ICTs for Social Inclusion: What is the Reality?

I'm pretty excited about this, though this is brand new water for me. Uh, what do you do at a conference exactly? And I'm really not quite sure how this is going to get paid for - I'm neither student nor faculty, but merely a lowly staff member. The grants do not runneth over for UNC staff to go traipsing around Europe. So if anyone wants to throw some grant money at me for travel and conference costs, now would be a good time!

Also exciting, I'm collaborating with Gilson Schwartz, the Academic Director of the City of Knowledge at the Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil.
